Been so bz with work and shoots till i cant blog... but now i beginning to find time again.

Well TangShooters getting bigger and famous... haha... we are in the papers. TNP on Monday featured us and bang... our picture are there :) Link below to bigger pic scanned by ronald.

Anyway, I have tendered my resignation for my first job at NCS and this coming friday is my last day there. Mixed feelings coz i really love working with my teammates. Well, venturing out was never an easy decision once u have settled into the environment. But sometimes decision made and now is make things happen.

Going Cambodia next Tues with my Tangshooters again. Planned a 5D4N trip for 4 of us. Very excited about the trip. Gonna enjoy this real break after so much happenings in the past half a year. Juz wanna put everything behind and start everything afresh. All those bad memories I juz wanna forget.

One month never blog liao...

Well been a bz few months in fact. At work and also bz occupying myself on weekends. Tangshooters getting bigger... But as the larger we grew, the more attention we gained, the more famous we get in the hobbyist photography circle.

I have new aspirations ahead, not juz for Tangshooters but also in other areas. I am seeking new perspectives and new grounds.

So wat have i been shooting these couple of months. Actually not much coz been hanging out with some closer Tangshooter kakis arnd and drinking and merrying. Shoots still have but mostly have been assisting and providing my amateur advice.

Super Import Nights 2008

Went again this year. Turned off by the amt of proclaimed photogs shooting at the import babes and local models, I decided to capture a few familliar model friends and walk around with Tangshooter kakis, TCSS and enjoying the companionship.

The sunday that juz passed was supposed to be shooting a TFCD for a model. But model was so drunk and she flew aeroplane on the camel production. But we are forgiving ppl... wahaha... so we went street shooting to cure our need to kill shutters.

I did some post processing in photoshop to simulate film cross processing for this series. Motive is to bring out the aged film feel and color cast in the pics. Added 120 film border to simulate slides. Sharing some of the shots here. More can be found on my flickr.

Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk (Singapore)

Had a walkabout chinatown with flickr group and a few Tangshooters kakis. Fun walk though raining. Each was to submit 3 photos for the walk for selection. Was glad that I had one shortlisted. Felt honoured to be shortlisted. My shortlisted entry was titled "Nothing goes right here".

Cosplay Matsuri @ Vivocity 310808

Never intended to go down to the Cosplay Matsuri that day but ended up feeling bored on Sat night thinking Sunday dun have anything. So gathered ppl to go down. Wow, must say easily there are more than 10 of us went down. Fun... Met stellar and some familliar cosplayers. Invited them for a short session.

Camel Production Part 2 - I call it as the title above. Invited Miyake and Hong Ling for this shoot. This shoot was in planning for about 1 month plus. From sourcing of costumes, researching on the moods, the studio, lightings etc. Personally, I am 60% satisfied with the work this time. I think in terms of lighting setup, I still have a lot more to learn.

Life's a learning process

Life is really a learning process, the more we get on, the more we encounter, the more we learnt. That is provided we wish to learn and we give ourselves the chance to learn.

Another week has passed with the last weekend 16th Aug having the sunrise, followed by the night car shoot. I named it Mega TFCD Part 3: Hot Cars & Fiery Hot Models - Race Queens in Style. I am the coordinator for this shoot so I was not in the shoot. Me and Joseph coordinated the shoot with Joseph handling the pickup of models and sourcing of cars while I took lead for ensuring the smooth flowing of the shoot that night. It was a fun and enjoyable experience for Tangshooters in this Mega TFCD which everyone enjoy. No photos for this shoot to share but my buddies have some great captures.

Anyway, after the car shoot, had supper with kakis till late night and went home with glenn. Slept immediately when home and finally sunday had a good rest at home. Never went out. Haha... So shiok. It has been at least half year that i finally weekend never step out of house. Woo!

The weekend that just passed was very packed. SG Fireworks Festival on Fri and Sat. Never intended to go down but still cannot resist the temptations of capturing a few fireworks shots.

Another week has passed... Sometimes I wonder, how much i have put in do not amount to how much returns i would get. Why is this so? This is because its hard to strike a balance in life.

Putting the past behind and moving on was what I have been doing these past months. As long as I am occupied with things, I will not think of certain things that much. But I think I am feeling very tired right now... Really exhausted. My last break was not even a break but it ended up in a real break off... so ironical hor.

So the past week was work and shoots again. Intensively keeping me out of stray thoughts. Some shots to share from past week...

Happy Birthday Singapore!

Its Singapore 43rd birthday. I am not exactly a loyal fan of NDPs and not really that enthu about celebrating my nation's birthday. However I am glad that I am a Singaporean. Foodwise, no complains. Security wise, safe and sound. Work wise, kill me man... work life balance is hard to do in Singapore.

A picture to share. Taken last week and photoshopped to give a aged feel. One layer to increase contrast between the greens and the buildings, another layer for lomo processing, another layer for burning some of the buildings to give a more dilipidated feel. Finally applied film grain to bring out the feel that it has been taken sometime back. Well this may just be how Singapore looks 50 years later.

Direction Please...

I am trying to direct my life back on path... but somehow something seem to be missing. My life is becoming more and more monotonous.

Weekdays:

Morning wake up 620am, reach office 815am. Have breakfast, drink coffee. Start work at 9am. And its work and work till 6plus pm. Drag myself home and have dinner at 8plus pm. Enter my room and do some work till 10pm. Then open some photos to edit till 11plus pm. TCSS with frens till midnight. Pack my bag for next day and set alarm. Go to sleep.

Weekends:

Got shoot go shoot. Shoot come back process photos. At night do some work. Have some moments with family during dinner. Meet up frens for a coffee or movie etc.

That's my life now... Sometimes i wonder whether i should try being a nature photojournalist. But posts like these are hard to come by. And based on my experience, I dun ever think i will be up to it. Maybe 10 yrs later... Who noes wat will happen in future...

Ok... One photo to share. Taken during Miyake fitting of bridal gown. Haiz... talk about fitting, when i saw her wear the gown juz brings back some memories...

It was more of a test shot to test miyake moods. She manage to bring out the mood quite well. Got improvement. Hope she continue to work hard and improve more... gavin said i did too much skin smoothening to the face which i have to agree. Should have omit smoothening the face :(

A hectic weekend it is... Sat was powerpacked with afternoon meeting Miyake and Hong Ling with DK for bridal gown fitting for the upcoming shoot in end August. Miyake was super noisy... Met shocky who was the person renting the gowns. Handsome young chap he is, and he quoted me a good rate for the gown we selected. Highly recommended for rental services!

After the fitting, went down with DK, Joseph and Hee to cover an event - NDP Dinner and Celebration @ Tampines Park. 5000 residents of the Tampines Constituency were there to celebrate and have dinner with the MPs. Very packed and funfilled event. Whole thingy ended around 11pm. Went to Simpang Bedok to meet Hong Ling with gang to have supper. Supershagged. Go home insert CF card and let the photos download while i KO liao... Will post up some shots later... Still processing.

Sunday morning wake up 8am and washed up before meeting Joseph for the TFCD session. As Joseph overslept, session at the abandoned site was shortened. Simple one hour plus session. Manage to grab a few shots of Sindy which i think quite ok. Hope she likes them after i post processed.

This schoolgirl shot of TM was impromptu. Saw her bag and thought it would make her look young and vibrant with her outfit. Went to 2nd floor to take this shot. Personally feel that its not bad... Wat u all think?

Conclusion

It was Monday night... I was not really in the best of state. Flu and upset stomach. Skipped dinner. Never went to work today and tried to do a bit of work at home. But the medicine makes me drowsy.

Come night, I called her. I felt that based on her character, she would never call to conclude things so I called. She told me that her conclusion would remain as before. I accepted it and I told her of my thoughts. For once at that point of time, I dun feel a bit sad at all but instead I felt strong and confident. I told her that since she dunno what she wants and since I am not the one she felt she would be with, I told her to start thinking of what she really wants.

She said she did try all these years but I told her by not sharing her thoughts and her worries etc, she is trying all in the wrong direction. And me, I do not know of all these things in her mind, like a fool, planned for marriage and booked packages etc. She said she is sorry. I told her that becoz of these, both of us have wasted 4 years of our time. She said her 4 years were not wasted as she learnt a lot from me and in the relationship. Wow... what irony. She said she hope we could be frens again. For now, I told her I juz wan to get back my life that she has taken up for 80% of my last 4 years. It really irony to mention that rite? In the last 4 years, am i juz a tool for her to try out in this relationship, which she eventually think it did not work out. She never bother to share her thoughts with me and when the bubble finally burst, she thanked me for the experience she had. But deep inside my heart, she has already taken a place there. A place that I can never replace with another gal rite now. I told her something that I always say to her, even now, in future years to come - "I really loved u" and with tat, I said my final goodbye. Before I hanged up, I heard her crying. I understand that she really did try and want to make things happen but juz things juz never go as planned. I understand that I finally have to let u go. Ting, thank you for the 4 years of joy and happiness that u have brought me. These are memories I will cherish and keep with me. U will always take up one secret place in my heart, a place so deeply buried in my heart that only I can feel.

All i can say is i need time to heal my wounds. Slowly but gradually I have begin to learn to live my life again. Its definitely not easy, but all I can say is I have finally concluded another chapter in my life. A conclusion that was not what I want but it was an end of another chapter nevertheless. With this I would like to move on to a new chapter, a new phase in my life. Whether or not we will be frens in future or anything at all, let fate decide. For now, I juz wan to start my life anew again.

Argh... enough of talk... my flu is getting worse and i am feeling damn weak... Have to catch up with work tmr, as today really is really a sickening day for me...

Learning how to be Single Once Again

Its not easy... After 4 years, I am learning to be single once again. I am lucky to have lots of frens around me. Be it photography, my khakis, my good buddies, my colleagues, they are all so supportive of what I do.

I have learnt a lot through this month of cool down and thought through. I would be a silly man if I am to continue waiting like an idiot. Memories are sweet, but now they are just memories. I have slowly learnt to put aside these memories by occupying time with frens.

Watched Dark Knight on Sat afternoon with my photography buddies. Joker was really cool but the actor already deceased at the young age of 28 is it? Pity... That's how life is...

Sunday was my first bikini shoot. Really tough under the harsh sunshine and not so appealing Singapore beaches. But it was still a fun filled outing though shagged. After the shoot, saw miyake at a shoot too... This gal is getting into the hang of shooting with a dslr -> Including shooting herself (自拍).

Slowly but gradually, I am filling up my time with friends and buddies. I had less time to think about the sad things. But its a struggle every morning to wake up with the same feel of loss. Guess will let time to numb me from this feel...

Cooling down...

The weekend passed pretty fast... Gone out to shoot with few frens and managed to cool down. Went down for the heats for Singapore Dragon Boat Festival on Sat. After that went home and had a chat with a colleague who is in Oman for work. He shared a lot of his experiences and provided some advice to me too.

I realized that all the while I may have been caring and concern but yet she mentioned that there is no improvement and dunno what she wants. I initially thought it was juz her. But thinking back, I think i do play a part in this also. I thought that by making the effort to meet every week, I am actually sustaining the relationship, but not realizing that things have become too routine and stagnant. I do know that at times and I tried to arrange for something but everytime I thought that she would be busy with work on weekends or need to rest, I would simply cancel my plans. I know this may not be the main reason but a lot of factors are involved in a relationship. I do not want to speculate or deduce the reasons behind, but this few days I was thinking about what was not done well, where can be improved etc.
No matter how much I think, they are already history. If she decided to be back with me, I would definitely work on the missing links and maintain this relationship. If not, it would be a learning experience which I will bring it along in my life. I told myself that I will pick myself up and I believe I can do it. These things are just part and parcel of life, whereby there are ups and downs.

Sat night I was feeling down so I called Yong Way out for a midnight show at TM. Watched Wanted… I have to apologise to him for accompanying me till so late and losing his sleep coz after I hit my bed I fell asleep while he told me next morning he only managed to sleep at 4 after all the excitement in the show… haha… sorry bro!

Sunday also passed very fast. Went 2nd Uncle house to set up his wireless modem and then met Yong Way and another fellow Tangshooter to go explore Chinatown again. Yes Chinatown again… But quite satisfied with my shots that day coz managed to capture some nice moments as well as found a high rise that oversees the sub court side of Chinatown to peoples park. Nice Views! I decided to share some of the shots here… So enjoy…

Day 6 without Ting

Put quite some focus in work today. But mind still swirling. Lack of sleep i suppose coz worked till 2 last nite. I woke up with the usual feel of loss.

My colleague, who is in Oman now, msn me some words. They were very meaningful. He personally lost his gf to illness a yr and half back. I can feel that his loss. He shared with me some of his experiences.

The day passed pretty fast. Evening came and I was at SLS meeting some frens. I tried to pack my time with frens and chatting so that I can free my mind a bit. But now, here I am back home again. I try to hold myself back from calling her. I cant. She never picked up, coz i think she's bz at work. I pull myself and told myself to take a deep breath. I need to give her time and space. I stopped calling her.

I wanted to pull out my TVB serials and watch wat i have not been watching for the past weeks. But the moment I load the disc, it was a love story. I stopped the show. Its was really a tough night tonight...

Day 5 without Ting - The Reply and I Call

I replied the message after some struggle. And I called. Yes I called. I really cant control myself. Call me stupid call me dumb, u can say i dun have patience but yes indeed i called. Y? I cant control myself. My heart is telling me to call. I held back once but I did call. I juz ask her to take care and dun overwork.

A lot of things on my mind but i decided to hold back my words. I dun wan to force her to think so much while she is at work. I wan her to relax and be happy and slowly think abt what she wants. I will wait... All these i never say coz i noe she may feel stressed.

Its Friday and a week has almost passed... I think i really need sleep. I think i really lacking in sleep these week. Its another long day when i wake up again. I juz hope I can wake up without tears soon. I really hope so.

Day 4 without Ting

She messaged me... I dunno how to interpret the message. In the past, I would probably its was concern as a gf but now, I would think she is juz trying to sympathize me or juz as a fren asking if i am ok. I really dunno how to reply this message. I thought about it for sometime... I had managed to cool down a bit today. I decided to give her time to think about it since she asked a month. I decided not to reply this message not becoz i dont want but its becoz i cant and i dunno how to reply.

Evening, I went for a discussion with some frens from Tangshooters. I temporarily regained my own self but back home the loneliness encompassed me again. i tried engaging myself in things but things doesnt seem to flow right. To me, deep inside I am trying not to reply the message, I am trying to give myself the chance to pick up again and be strong to face what is to happen the next and every day. Its tough... but i know i have to do it.

She may be waiting for my reply but based on my understanding of her in the past, she would not bother. But can i apply what is in the past to now. I really cant determine and i dun dare to think so much. I went to sleep... I juz hope as each day pass, i will pick myself up to live my life again.

If she calls me and want a get together again, its a blessing but things would have changed. I would never take things for granted. I will have to learn how to love all over again. Does it mean I have be always the active one doing all things? I dunno... All i can say now i am taking one small step at a time.

If she never calls again, I have to brace myself up. Its always easy to say but tough to carry out in action. Slowly but gradually I will eventually pick up again.

Day 3 without Ting

My mind is flooded with her. Everything I have all is connected to her. The watch I wear was a gift from her, the clothes i wear to work are picked by her. My spectacles also. Everything is so related to her.

Last night I tried to sleep. The moment I closed my eyes, memories flow back. I woke up today morning crying. My tears keep flowing and they just cant stop.

I want to pick myself up... But life will never be the same now without her. Its day 3 only, and I am counting down. Like my colleague say, maybe its a good time for both of us to cool down and have a break to think of what we want. Its not easy but I am really trying... my heart is virtually bleeding everytime I try to stop thinking.

Heartbroken...

I lost my love. My gf told me she needs a break. She needs one month to think abt what she wants and whether I am the one for her.

I felt lost. I was devastated. All these while I put all my heart into loving her but she say that she had minimal feelings for me.

How can this be? 4 years we have been together. Memories of us flooding my mind. How much fun moments we had... How I entertained u and make u laugh... How u enjoyed my companionship... All these are just a dream? I am all the while living in a dream...

I close my eyes I recall these moments. These are moments I cherished... So much memories.

I feel sad... tired... no amount of words can describe my feelings now. I cried and cried, yes, a man's tears, but how can i control them when they naturally came. These are true feelings, I cant make it go away as I like.

What can I do now? Give her one month to think... This month may seem short but feels like eternity to me. To me, she is everything and everyday I would think about her. She was the one for me. No matter what things I do, I would always put her as priority.

My life circles around her, without her, I really lost my meaning in life. I have lost my father since young. I have lost my mum 4.5 years ago. Now I am losing my love of my life. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my life? I have lost all my beloved. I used to share my worries and happiness with her but now who am I to share this with? I am lost, totally lost.

People tell me to wait, cool down and think. Easier said than done. I know they r nice people but to put words to actions are really tough.

I really love you, Hwee Ting. You do know this, and I am willing to wait for one month. I really dun wan to lose you.

Photoaid 2008 was set up to help raise funds for the Myanmar Cyclone Victims. We gathered about 10 Tangshooters for week 2 and 8 Tangshooters for week 3. Some of them went ad hoc in pairs on other weekends. Well done TSers and the rest of the photoaid core team and members. The efforts and amount raised will definitely mean a lot to the victims.

Macritchie Trail Macro

Had a macro shoot with few bros a couple of weeks back. Never noe that there is this trail present. Its a trail with full of macro opportunities. There are a lot of insects and even came across a hammerhead slimy creature the size of a palm. Juz sharing 2 of the nicer captures of the day...

This ant happened to be isolated from the rest of the ants which are all bz. The feel of it looking into the sky gave me a sense of wanting feeling. Does it give u the same feel too?

This is one of the best captures. Its no insect. Its a dew droplet. I saw the morning sun shining thru and casting a glow into the droplet. It gave a glimmer of hope feel... Felt that this pic has the potential of being a masterpc... haha... juz kidding...

Romancing Redang

Went with a few buddies to Pulau Redang on the 9th May - 11th May. Found some time now to post some pics in blog.

Went there arnd 4 yrs back but back then do not have a dslr. Weather was on our side. It was sunny and skies were blue with the water crystal clear.

TFCD for Music Mocha Music School Teachers

So tied up with work... Not say I dun like my work but too much work is getting on my nerves... Argh...

Did a TFCD for some teachers few weeks back from Music Mocha Music School. The photos will be used for their portfolio for use of publicity. Its a new startup and I can see this school has a lot of potential. Me and other few Tangshooters were in charge of the outdoor shooting portion. It was actually a last min decision that Kevin roped me in coz short of photogs.

Weather was harsh and shooting at that time was really challenging. Managed to get some good shots out of the shoot so still not so bad. I am getting lazy to post pics... I embed the slideshow instead... :P

Impromptu outing suggested by phoa... Haiz... tot can finally rest on a PH but gana psycho into waking up at 5 am to go shoot sunrise...

Was pretty disappointed as the skies were quite cloudy... But managed to see the egg yolk eventually which brighten up the day. Shagged from lack of sleep but satisfied with the shots...

Went Pulau Ubin last Sat for a slimming trek... Been sometime since I walk so much... Around 5 hrs we walked and took photos along the way. Got sunburnt in the process... But with Tangshooters around, there's never a boring day... Love the skies, the sceneries and nature around us...

Well... this is one post without photos... I am so bz @ work that I cant edit my photos... Work, deadlines, multitasking... I am learning along e way. Politics... Well I try not to dwell into it...

Sometimes I asked myself y did I take up this job though there can be better opportunities awaiting me. One reason I am not leaving this job yet is that I can learn alot but at the same time I can get burned out too... I have to learn to manage and relax when I can. Another reason is the people. The pay here is definitely not attractive coz i have received better offers. Its the people that are holding me back. I wan to fight this war to the end with my teammates and my managers.

Ultimately, its juz a matter of time I decided to venture out for greener pastures but for another year to go, I will be in this warzone... Sad but the truth, this is the working world and I still have a good 30 years at least to go...

Queenie - East Meets West

Location was arnd Bukit Pasoh where there are these shophouses and old back alleys. Theme was East meets West. Weather was temperamental with heavy sunshine and sudden drizzles. Shoot was delayed due to extension of make up hours. It started at 1230pm instead of 9am. Well the wait was well worth it.

Death Note: L - The Last Day

Did a cosplay themed shoot with Tangshooters 2 weeks back. Theme was Death Note and character was L. Wilson, the cosplayer really have the looks and feel of L. Really impressed by his dedication in cosplaying the character. ThumbsUP for him!

Initially, there was Misa also in the shoot but her mother forbid her to come as she afraid that we are BTSS (变态叔叔)... Sad... The location also changed from Matilda House to Changi Airport T3. Well reason being Matilda House has been refenced and repainted and locked up entirely again (Is it gg to be redeveloped?)

Matsuri 2008 @ Vivocity
Was at Matsuri Cosplay event @ Vivocity. Tangshooters decided to set up a makeshift studio there and invited cosplayers to take photos. I believe it was the professional and polite way to take photos of the hardworking cosplayers. Unlike some minority of the photographers who spoil the overall image of us photographers, snapping shots like free and acting pros with DSLRs and knocking ppl and leaving without thanking the cosplayers. Well models/cosplayers are also human and deserve credit for what they do. These ppl juz dun think tat way... Well there are bound to be black sheep arnd... wat to do...

TFCD - Punk Theme

This weekend is full of model shoots. In fact this month is full of shoots for TFCDs and planned paid shoots. Really tough balancing work and shoots as well as planning time to spend with family and gf. How I wish there is more than 24 hours a day to accomplish wat I wan to do.

Sharing some punk shots from last Sat shoot. Thanx to Yong Way for planning this shoot and making it so fun and successful.

In for the punk mood. Feels like a prelude before a major face off. Make use of ambient lighting and directions from abdul to create this mood. One of the better shots I have in my opinion.

Another shot with use of ambient lighting. Really learnt a lot from abdul on using available light to shoot. This one also one of my personal fav.

She does have very exotic ornaments on her. This one I feel capture the low mood she is in after losing her beloved.

This one I call it "Revenge - Back with a Vengeance!".

Gloomy Days

Been really busy these 2 weeks. Managed to squeeze time to take some little photos and post here. In fact not much but only one. One photo which I pretty like.

This was actually taken on last saturday's morning trek with some Tangshooters along MacRitchie Reservoir. The weather was really bad as after 15 mins of trek, the rain starts to pour, and I mean it really POURS. Most of us are drenched while heading for the Lornie Road Exit. The trek lasted for less than an hour and we have to abort.

Personally, the picture gives me the feeling that the branches were actually reaching out for the water in the reservoir. They are dried and dehydrated... However hard they tried, they are still far from their objective. It somehow sets the mood for the day. It became a gloomy and down day but with Tangshooters around, well, there are bound to be laughter and joy that breaks the down and gloomy side.

Labrador Park Sunset

Intention was to go to Marina @ Keppel to shoot the bridge and architecture with sunset but turned out that we went the wrong way and ended up shooting Labrador Park instead. Nevertheless, sunset that day was great and there are families gathering here and there.

TFCD - Theresa and Nadyne

Managed to get my fren and her fren to do a TFCD for them. The theme of the shoot was Sports - beach volleyball and frisbee. Location was at Palawan Beach @ Sentosa.

Weather was good and the ladies were excellent. The Tangshooters team got down to work quickly. The ladies were a bit uneasy at the start (well there is always a first time) but they got playful and into the mood very fast.

I call this "Smash and Defense". Taking action shots are really not easy. It took around a few tries and multiple shots before getting one satisfactory shot.

Nadyne enjoying the breeze. It took her a while to get into the mood but once in, she's enjoying every minute I suppose...

Nadyne shyness... Not exactly shy lar... But I always try to capture these kinda moments. An althernative to composed shots...

Theresa in high key. Well, last time attempted a high key effect on Winnie that was not perfect enough. Wonder if this one works?

Abandoned Barracks

This was taken i think around 3 weeks back. After a visit to the Old Changi Hospital with some Tangshooters, we had some lunch and mostly off for some other appointment. Michael suggested that me and him continue to venture to find some Changi cliff but sad to say it was not found.

However, we did bump upon some old and abandoned barracks that we concluded to be the old CDO HQ. Though it was afternoon, the barracks gave me a feeling that we were being watched. Michael shared some experiences that he came with the SPI team there to explore before and there was one section of the wall that was covered with a wooden board. It was rumoured to be a painting/mural of the DEVIL in the past that has caused people to go crazy or turn berserk and was thus covered to prevent further harm. How much of this do I believe? Well I did not remove the board and I never wanted to try...

Juz sharing some photos here of the place. Pictures can only say that much. U have to be there to experience the eerie feeling.

Overview of the barracks under the strong afternoon sun.

Peeping thru the hole. It seems that construction works was performed but cancelled halfway as we spotted construction markings on the walls to tear down the walls. Whatever that stopped the works are definitely not what we may want to know.

Seems like a cross on the door rite... Doors of the past in old barracks and architecture are designed this way. Juz that it feels more creepy as this place is abandoned.

What's a chair doing here? Do u feel like taking a seat here?

Arab Street Walkabout

After the Sentosa Flowers in the morning, unexpectedly, the gang of shooters were so on that we carry on to shoot around Arab Street and the nearby areas. The location had superb and breathtaking views of Singapore unseen till date. All thanx to phoa who took us to this location.

I was feeling damn shag as I have not slept for 30 hours by then. But the walk and the views simply took my tiredness away.

When do u see such views in Singapore? Rarely rite. Unobstructed and clear view of a portion of Singapore. Marvellous!

A building being tored down. As it was a Saturday and CNY 3rd day, I suppose that it's the workers off day so there was no one there... I used the wall as a seperator to distinguish the "Big Holes vs Small Holes".

I had an idea when I see the cigarette pack on ground and Michael in the background. "Smoke and I will shoot!"

Arab Street is really full of colours and culture. Found this stall selling baskets. Feel like buying one for my house...

This was taken by metering the sun to create the silhouette effect for the mosque. I named this "Silhouette - Serenity".

Since young, I am always marvelled by this architecture. Y was the building built such tat it is so 3D yet from one view is seems 2D. I named this "The Cutting Edge".

Sentosa Flowers 2008

Was having majong with some old NTU frens and played from Friday night till next day morning 530am. Took a train down to Harbourfront before meeting several Tangshooters for Sentosa Flowers shoot.

Feeling really shagged, but the outing brings me back to life. Though tired, the shoot was really enjoyable.

Before daybreak at Vivocity. Taken @ around 630am before the sunrise.

A brown housefly, if it is a housefly that is... Wonder what houseflies r doing on flowers and leaves when they shld be on s*** and food.

I feel that this is simple yet meaningful. I named it - Support will be there whenever u fall.

I called this Entangled in Love. The buds tangling with one another reflects what love is about. Dont u agree?

Caught this pair of houseflies mating... They were so engrossed that they did not knew I was 40cm away from them...

I named this "Protectors". Saw the outer ring of buds "protecting" the inner buds.

Normally ppl take nice photos of flowers. What about before the flower blooms? Its actually something like...

CNY River Hongbao Fireworks

Its a busy Chinese New Year. Finally have time to surf the net before i head off to relative house to 拜年 later...

Went down to Esplanade drive on Tuesday to take some fireworks. It was day 1 of the River Hongbao Celebrations. Quite packed already on Tuesday so cant imagine how it really is on these few days.

Whenever I took fireworks a few years back, I would be mostly looking at whether my shots are ok on the spot, missing the action of the majestic fireworks most of the time. Recently, I have laid back and took pictures of them with more ease. I think that enjoying the moment is really of more importance, though capturing the moment is also important for remembrance.

Winnie Photoshoot

Been busy with work and Spring cleaning for the past few days... Finally had time to blog again... And yes, abt photography...

Thanx to Gavin who organised the Sunday shoot for Tangshooters, it was a fun and enjoyable morning shoot with Winnie. Although the weather was not really the best, all Tangshooters and Winnie were enjoying every moment of the shoot.

Sharing some of my works here...

Winnie @ Robertson Quay. The weather was sunny at the start, made full use of it with the reflector to get the warm effect out from this shot.

Flash power was pumped up in this picture in attempt to create a high key effect. No further PP done but was advised by fren to further DI in PS to get the perfect high key effect. May try tat sometime later...

Personally, this one is one of my favorite, sweet, demure and fun-loving pose.

Took a piture of her posing with the Pocky and find it having potential for making a Pocky commercial. I have to stress that this is not an advertisement and photos of Pocky are courtesy of Meiji copyrights. I am not using for commercial purpose or promotion... Old Changi Hospital

This is one of the most recent outings with Tangshooters. It was a visit to the Old Changi Hospital. Nowadays having a knack of visiting these old, deserted and well known haunted locations for shoot. First, there was Matilda House, followed by the Chee Guan Chiang (Soong Sisters) House and now OCH. Out of these 3 so far, Matilda House gave me the creeps most. OCH nevertheless, also eerie.

Mega Car Shootout

Found that I am virtually shooting every week whenever I have the time. This Mega Car Shootout with Tangshooters was done 2 weeks ago when the BMW gang decided to have a TFCD for their cars...

Being a second timer shooting cars, found out that shooting cars really require some level of skill. Unlike real life models, they cannot change pose easily but instead as a photographer, u have to look for angles to shoot them.

I call this "Overtake me if u can"... Well I am a noob at exotic car models. I know 4 rings tat one is audi and the other one ppl told me its called erm... "Mescharati". I cant pronounce nor spell it out so pardon me ok...

This is one of my favorites... I called it "History of Excellence". Almost all the series of the BMWs are here...

Its Wednesday, nearing weekend. Really busy with work recently. Managed to squeeze some time in the morning to share some pictures.

This set of pics are taken with Tangshooters over the New Year Walkabout Marathon. We started off from Chinatown, walking all the way to Tanjong Rhu for fireworks before heading to the Merlion.

Start @ 1800 hrs, end @ 0700 hrs.

Tangshooters outing to the Clementi Railway Tracks. Great to see this kinda old railway tracks in the midst of the high rise in Singapore. Always wanted to go this kinda abandoned architecture forgotten by people.

Juz gives u the feel back in time right? It does for me... Nowadays people r so bz that they forgot what is happening around them. There is actually a lot more than just work. The next one gives me the feel of homecoming... What do you all feel?
